Wedding Video Services
We
offer a discreet and unobtrusive filming service so as not to interfere
with any part of your day. We use Sony professional wide screen, palm
held cameras which enables us to be very mobile and move quickly from
one area to another. We will not use any additional lighting rigs or
boom microphones but will use a radio mic (usually worn by the groom)
so that we can clearly capture your responses during the wedding
ceremony.
What we film
When you book Maiden
Video, you get us for the day. Filming will typically start one hour
before the wedding ceremony at the bride's place of departure. We will
stay with you throughout the ceremony, the official photographs, the
Wedding Breakfast speeches, cutting of the cake and the First Dance.
We can stay longer at your
request (e.g. until the end of the evening).
This would incur an additional hourly charge.
Should your ceremony venue restrict the number of people that can view the proceedings, we can relay video to another room(s), mixing 2 video feeds in real time to be displayed on remote screens.
Your DVD
On completion of the editing and production, you will receive 2 copies of the DVD. One will be housed in a special deluxe presentation case and the other in a standard DVD wallet. The final DVD will include the edited footage of the day, a video slide show of the photographs taken during the day, a montage of the day's events set to the music from the couple’s first dance and a reduced file size copy of the montage in mp4 format that can be sent to family, friends and colleagues via email.
Sound and Lighting
Capturing the sound is equally important as capturing the video and we do this in 2 ways. Prior to the ceremony, a small radio microphone is attached to the Groom that allows us to clearly capture both of your responses and the voice of whoever is conducting the ceremony.
We also have a microphone installed on the video camera that allows us to capture the background and ambience which when mixed together enriches the production and gives a true representation of the day. The radio microphone is removed after the ceremony, so there's no need to worry about us capturing all your conversations during the day.
A radio microphone will be discreetly installed on the top table (usually hidden amongst the table flowers) so that the filming can take place at a distance, while clearly capturing the wedding breakfast speeches.
We will not use any additional lighting as our policy is to be as discreet as possible enabling us to capture natural and uninhibited footage from your special day.
